IMF Values
The CEDAR Database contains hourly Interplanetary Magnetic Field (IMF) and solar plasma data from various satellites from 27 November 1963 to within about 6 months of the present. These can be obtained via the VSTO Data Portal
- Click on the Data tab at the top
- Filter by Physical Domain select CEDAR
- Check the 'Show Instrument Code' check box and click 'Reload'
- check the radio button next to '120 - Interplanetary Mag Fld and Solar Wind' and click 'Next'
- One minute IMF data for World Day campaign periods are available from 13 April 1983 to 19 January 1988.
Some other data sources are:
- hourly IMF and plasma data (1963-present) at the National Space Science Data Center which now includes other indices (Dst, AE, PC, Kp, 10.7 cm flux, etc)
- high resolution 1 and 5-minute average IMF, plasma data etc at http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/omniweb/ow_min.html
- NASA WIND satellite IMF (3 sec, 1-min, 1-h) and solar wind data (11/94-present) including near real-time
- ACE satellite IMF and solar wind data (8/97-present)
- 2 min IMP MIT plasma data (1973-present) at MIT
